Singapore Airlines Limited, 新加坡航空公司, National Carrier of Singapore and one of the best and well known Airline in Asia. Its history can be trace dated back in 12th October 1947 and known as Malayan Airways Limited (MAL), sharing the same history as Malaysia Airlines (MAS). After MSA (Malaysia-Singapore Airlines) ceased operations in 1972, Singapore Airlines was born.
Started with a humble being with an Airspeed Consul twin-engine airplane. Today, SIA is the world's largest operator of the Boeing 777 aircraft. It is also the first Airline to operate the Super Jumbo Airbus A380.
Its cargo subsidiary, Singapore Airlines Cargo, lease the entire freighter fleet from Singapore Airlines and manages the cargo holds on all Singapore Airlines passenger aircraft.
